Photocatalysis is one of the processes that are a natural part of our lives and the nature around us. The energy of light that hits the TiO2 crystals creates free electrons and electron holes on their surface, the action of which, in combination with oxygen, decomposes the molecules of organic substances into molecules of carbon dioxide and molecules of water.
How does it work? Imagine a hot plate at a temperature of many thousands of degrees Celsius.
